Our Policies

Our commitment to a fair, safe, and professional environment.

We are committed to safeguarding the personal data of all learners, staff, and stakeholders in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We ensure the collection and use of personal data is lawful, fair, and transparent; data is collected for specified, legitimate purposes and kept secure; and individuals have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of their data. Staff receive regular data protection training, and breaches are reported and managed appropriately.

For Learners 16+: Our safeguarding approach protects learners aged 16 and over from abuse, neglect, or exploitation. A Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) ensures alignment with KCSIE guidance. Staff undergo regular training, and all safeguarding concerns are treated seriously.

For Learners Under 18: Our commitment to child protection ensures that learners under 18 are safeguarded in line with UK legislation. All staff undergo enhanced DBS checks and regular safeguarding training. Concerns are managed following clear safeguarding procedures.

We are committed to providing a safe learning and working environment. Regular risk assessments, venue checks, fire safety measures, and compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 are integral to our practice. Concerns can be reported through the appropriate channels.

We promote inclusivity and fairness for all protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. We uphold equal opportunities in recruitment, education, and service delivery. Discrimination of any form is not tolerated, and our procedures ensure that complaints are handled with fairness and sensitivity. Reasonable adjustments are made for SEND learners, and diversity is celebrated throughout our teaching, recruitment, and workplace culture.

We maintain academic integrity through education, prevention, and investigation of malpractice and plagiarism. Suspected cases are investigated thoroughly, with learners and staff held to the highest standards of conduct.

Complaints: All learners, parents/carers, and staff have the right to raise complaints. Complaints can be resolved informally or through a formal written process. Clear timeframes and escalation pathways are provided, including referral to external bodies if necessary.

Appeals: We provide a fair and transparent process for learners to appeal assessment decisions. Learners are encouraged to first discuss concerns informally with their assessor. Formal appeals should be submitted in writing within 10 working days. If unresolved, escalation to the relevant Awarding Body is available.

To ensure impartiality and fairness, all staff and learners must declare potential conflicts of interest. A conflict of interest register is maintained and appropriate management strategies are in place to prevent bias in assessment or decision-making.
